carrom – What occurs in these end-game conditions?


From the ICF Legal guidelines of Carrom. Bracketed numbers in italics check with particular guidelines that cowl the questions.


If the Queen has been coated:

1. I pocket my final C/m and the Striker?

You lose by 1/3* (+1**).

2. I pocket my opponent’s final C/m?

You lose as regular.

3. I pocket my opponent’s final C/m and the Striker?

You lose as regular (+1**).

4. I pocket each gamers’ final C/m?

You win by 1/3*. For an improper stroke, you lose by 1/3* (+1**).

5. I pocket each gamers’ final C/m and the Striker?

(110/112) You lose by 1/3* (+1**).


If the shot covers the Queen:

6. I pocket my final C/m and the Queen?

(97) You win as regular, having coated the Queen. For an improper stroke, you lose by 3* (+1**).

7. I pocket my final C/m, the Queen and the Striker?

Not sure! You lose by 3* (+1**).

8. I pocket my opponents’ final C/m and the Queen?

(103) You lose as regular, and the Queen is taken into account coated by your opponent.

9. I pocket my opponents’ final C/m, the Queen and the Striker?

You lose as regular (+1**), and the Queen is taken into account coated by your opponent.

10. I pocket each gamers’ final C/m and the Queen?

(102) You win by 1/3*. For an improper stroke, you lose by 3* (+1**).

(109) You lose by 3* (+1**).


If the Queen is left on the board:

(107) You lose by 3*.

(108) You lose by 3* (+1**).

14. I pocket my opponent’s final C/m, leaving the Queen?

(106) You lose as regular, and the Queen is taken into account coated by your opponent.

15. I pocket my opponent’s final C/m and the Striker, leaving the Queen?

(111) You lose as regular (+1**), and the Queen is taken into account coated by your opponent.

16. I pocket each gamers’ final C/m, leaving the Queen?

(105) You lose by 3*.

17. I pocket each gamers’ final C/m and the Striker, leaving the Queen?

You lose by 3* (+1**).


Conditions whereas masking the Queen (not essentially end-game):

18. I am capturing to cowl the Queen and pocket my final C/m and the Striker?

(101) Two of your pocketed C/m returned to the board, then you definately hold enjoying to cowl the Queen. For an improper stroke, three of your pocketed C/m are returned to the board, as is the Queen, and your flip ends.

19. I am capturing to cowl the Queen and pocket my opponent’s final C/m?

(103) You lose as regular, and the Queen is taken into account coated by your opponent.

20. I am capturing to cowl the Queen and pocket my opponent’s final C/m and the Striker?

(103) You lose as regular, and the Queen is taken into account coated by your opponent. Not sure: you come a C/m to the board for the Striker, successfully scoring +1 for the opponent.

21. I am capturing to cowl the Queen and pocket each gamers’ final C/m?

(102) You win by 1/3*. For an improper stroke, you lose by 3* (+1**).

22. I am capturing to cowl the Queen and pocket each gamers’ final C/m and the Striker?

(109 – uncertain however reasoned) You lose by 3* (+1**).


* That is the worth of the Queen: if the profitable participant didn’t cowl the Queen, or is at 22+ factors, they get 1 level. In any other case they get the three factors for masking the Queen.

** The opponent might declare 1 further level as Due (you pocketed the Striker) and/or 1 further level as Penalty (you made an improper stroke).
